Three new members were sworn into the Caney City Council during last night's regular session meeting.
This was also the first meeting for Interim City Consultant Tim Wilson, who started in the role January 1st. Mayor Josh Elliott says Wilson's efficiency will help Caney.
Elliott says city leaders and council members are working hard to bring back organization and order to the town.
Elliott expects a resolution to the grocery store audit soon, adding that training with city staff concerning the Incode system will help make more sense of city financials this year.
Last night's meeting also saw Lori Patterson elected as Council President and Paul Kritz reappointed as city attorney for 2025.
