A Dodge City man is dead after trying to help a semi-truck driver during the recent snowstorm.

65-year-old Rudolph Martinez was attempting to help truck driver Brandon Wade navigate his semi-truck through a snow drift-covered parking lot near the junction of K-1546 and I-70 yesterday afternoon. During the maneuver, the truck driver accidentally backed over Martinez. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
