Newly elected officials in Osage County, OK, are sworn in to their new positions.

 

District 2 Commissioner Steve Talburt was re-elected after defeating Bud Beaston, Bart Perrier was elected Sheriff after defeating the incumbent, Eddie Virden. Christina Talburt was elected County Clerk after defeating Robin Slack. Lavender Carroll was elected Court Clerk after Jennifer Burd's resignation.

 

Bart Perrier says he looks forward to serving as Osage County Sheriff.

 

Following the swearing-in ceremony, a special meeting was convened to select the chair and vice-chair for the year. District 3 Commissioner Charlie Cartwright was re-appointed as chairman. He says he looks forward to what the next year will bring.

 

District 1 Commissioner Anthony Hudson will serve as vice-chairman.
