Coffeyville's Friends of Animals Spay and Neuter program begins this month.
CFA Board Director Becky Barnhart says anyone interested in having their pets spayed or neutered can pick up an application at the Shelter or the SEK Animal Clinic. Barnhart says this program doesn't only benefit the Shelter but also the community and the pet owners.
Barnhart says to be eligible for the program pet owners have to live in the city limits of Coffeyville or the surrounding area. They can only do one pet per owner per year.
