The news is often full of stories about the worst of humanity, but sometimes, the better angels of our nature have a chance to shine.
That's true of a story recently posted in the Facebook forum Weird Pictures and News. A user named Shawn Keller recently posted a story about his family's move from Missouri to Colorado. While crossing Kansas on I-70, the moving truck they had rented containing all of their possessions broke down near Salina. Shawn states that their moving company made them wait three hours and provided little help, so he decided they would rent another truck in Salina and be on their way. However, they would also have to unload and then reload the more than 200 boxes of their stuff.
At that moment, two Salina men stopped and asked if they needed help. The grateful couple said, yes, they did. The Good Samaritans then called some of their friends and 7 more men arrived to help. They had the boxes loaded into the new truck and the family on the way to their new home in less than 30 minutes.
Keller stated that the generous men restored his faith in humanity and ended his post by saying, Whatever you are doing in Kansas, the way you are raising your children, caring for the community and even strangers, please don't stop.
