A change to the operation of all-terrain and utility-type vehicles is coming in Coffeyville.

Starting Wednesday, Coffeyville residents wanting to drive their ATVs and UTVs on Coffeyville streets must register them with the Coffeyville Police Department. Registration and inspections can be done any day of the week from 8:00am to 5:00pm at the Emergency Services Building at 1206 West 11^th Street. New inspections are $50. Owners must provide proof of insurance.

Vehicles may be operated on the streets within the corporate limits, except on any portion of 11^th Street, Northeast Street, State Highway 166, State Highway 169 or Walnut Street from the intersection of 11^th Street and Walnut Street and south to the City limits. Drivers can only use ATVs and UTVs between Sunrise and 9:00pm. This does not include golf carts.  More information here.
