The Montgomery County Commission approves a request for additional funding for the Motor Vehicle Office.
The original request for $53,000 in additional funding came at last week's meeting from County Treasurer Nancy Clubine. The request was tabled, meaning that commissioners would need to revisit the issue at today's meeting. Incoming County Treasurer Mandy Hargis appeared before the commission for the request. Commissioner Mike Cordray asked Hargis if there has been a push for more money from the state. Hargis says the state organization for County Treasurers has made the request.
Commissioners approved the request for more funds. In other business, one county employee will see an interim position become permanent in the new year. County Administrator Jonathan Booe asks the commission for their approval of the promotion.
Beurskins will officially take over the job on January 1st.
