A church in Anderson County in eastern Kansas is destroyed by a fire.
The fire occurred Thursday night at the Colony Community Church in Colony, KS, about 20 miles north of Humboldt. Pastor Chase Reibel stated in a Facebook post that the church building was a total loss, but that no one was injured in the blaze. The community held a prayer vigil for the church on Friday evening. The congregation met Sunday morning at the Colony Christian Church to discuss future options and plans.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
