The City of Pittsburg is reeling after a senior at Pittsburg High School loses his life in a single-vehicle car crash.

 

The accident happened yesterday evening around 5:45pm on South Rouse Street just south of K-126. 17-year-old Nathan Brown was driving a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe when his vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason. The car then struck a tree and caught fire.

 

Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene.

 

The Pittsburg Fire Department, Police Department, Crawford County EMS, and the Kansas Highway Patrol all responded to the accident.
