The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a boil water advisory issued on December 6th for the City of Elk City public water supply system in Montgomery County
The advisory was issued because of a waterline break resulting in a loss of pressure in the distribution system which could lead to bacterial contamination. Drinking water samples collected from the City of Elk City indicate no evidence of bacterial contamination. KDHE has determined that all conditions that placed the system at risk have been resolved.
