The State of Oklahoma carries out the death penalty sentence of convicted child murderer Kevin Underwood.
Underwood was executed by lethal injection and pronounced dead at 10:14 Thursday morning. Underwood was sentenced to die for the April 2006 killing of his neighbor 10-year-old Jaime Rose Bolin in Purcell, OK, south of Oklahoma City.
Underwood was the fourth inmate executed this year in Oklahoma and the 25th nationwide.
State Attorney General Gentner Drummond stated that Underwood's execution meant that justice was finally served for Jamie Bolin and her family.
