Authorities in northwest Arkansas are investigating the discovery of human remains.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, an unidentified human body was found north of Eureka Springs near West Leatherwood Creek on December 11. The C-C-S-O has not yet been able to identify the person. The body has been sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab in hopes of making an identification through the use of DNA testing.
