The City of Altamont approves an agreement to purchase electricity from a Pratt solar farm.

 

The decision came at the most recent meeting of the Altamont City Council. The agreement will allow the city to purchase power from the

Ninnescah Flats Solar Project through the Kansas Municipal Energy Agency. Council member Lyle Sykes says the move is in the best interests of the city.

 

The 30-year agreement will allow the city to purchase up to 90 megawatts of power from the Pratt facility. The measure was approved by a unanimous vote.
