The Kansas Department of Transportation unveils new updates and features for their KanDrive app.

 

The new features include the ability to send alerts about high winds, low visibility, and icy/snowy road conditions. The app will also give enhanced detour information and improve information available about work zones. There will also be more information available regarding over-sized truck locations along US-83 in western Kansas.

 

KanDrive already provides real-time travel information including road conditions, closures, camera/video footage and construction and detour information. The updates will also allow KanDrive to be used on Amazon Alexa and will integrate with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

 

KDOT encourages motorists to use KanDrive to plan trips in advance by visiting KanDrive.gov or download the app in the App Store or Google Play.
