ICC Hopes to Name New President Soon

 

Independence Community College hopes to name a new college president soon.

 

At last night's Board of Trustees meeting, Vice-President of Human Resources for the school Lori Boots presented a timeline for the hiring of a new president. Boots says application period for the position is set to close on December 31 and the hiring committee will then begin the process of interviewing candidates.

 

Boots stated that 24 candidates have applied for the position so far. The school plans to narrow the field of applicants and make a final decision by April.

 

In other business, Trustees approved $33,000 of previously budgeted athletic funds to allow the the ICC Spirit Team to attend the Universal Cheerleaders Association College Nationals at Walt Disney World in January.
