The Cherryvale city boundary is increasing slightly.
At last night's meeting, the city council approved the annexation of city-owned property just west of 169 and north of Main Street. The property will be zoned as "business – highway service district" to enable future development.
In other business, the council agreed to schedule several work sessions, including one for land bank and budget discussion on Monday, January 6th from 4 to 6 p.m. and one for grant writing and to discuss the dog shelter on January 20th from 4 to 6 p.m. A special meeting will also be held on December 30th at 6 p.m. for a budget amendment hearing.
