Authorities in McDonald County in southwest Missouri serve a search warrant that leads to the arrest of a convicted felon and a seizure of firearms and drugs.
On December 11, the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team served a search warrant on a home in Goodman, MO. After a brief standoff at the home, a female exited the residence and told deputies that her boyfriend, who was the target of the investigation, Larry McFarland was still inside the house. Investigators continued to call out to McFarland with no response. After about two hours, the S-R-T used a robot to gain access to and clear the house. Deputies found McFarland hiding under some clothes inside a closet. He was taken into custody without further incident.
While searching the residence detectives were able to locate six weapons and 39.43 grams of suspected meth. McFarland faces charges of Unlawful possession of a firearm, Delivery of a Controlled Substance, and a Felony Out-of-State warrant with a $25,000 cash bond.
