**BREAKING NEWS**
At around 5:15 this morning, fire crews from Coffeyville, Tyro, and Independence Rural Fire responded to reports of a semi-truck on fire on US-75 just north of the intersection with County Road 3200 or just west of the Independence Airport.
Reports indicate that the fire spread from the big truck into a nearby ditch and was approaching a fuel tank. Heavy fog in the area has made efforts more difficult for first responders.
No injuries have been reported at this time. Drivers are advised to avoid the area of US-75 just west of the Independence Airport to allow emergency crews to handle the incident.
