A missing Missouri man has turned up in Syria.

29-year-old Pete Travis Timmerman of Urbana, MO, had been on a Christian pilgrimage when he was reported missing from Budapest, Hungary, in June. Timmerman said he was detained and imprisoned after crossing into Syria later that month. He was freed from a Damascus prison following the overthrow of Syrian President Bashir Al-Assad. Timmerman said he had been treated well during his captivity.
