A Kansas man is arrested for felony DWI following a fatal crash in southwest Missouri.
36-year-old Crystal Emery of Asbury, MO, died Saturday following a car accident in rural Jasper County. Emery's vehicle was eastbound on Sumac Road when another vehicle driven by 20-year-old Malachai Doyle of Topeka pulled into her path. The collision caused Emery's vehicle to overturn, rolling through a barbed-wire fence and coming to rest on its roof. Emery was taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin where she later died from her injuries.
Doyle has been arrested and faces charges of felony DWI resulting in the death of another and failure to yield.
