The Kansas Department of Transportation announces the awarding of bids for construction projects in southeast Kansas.
Three projects in Elk County for mill and overlay along US-160 near Longton were approved. Those projects together totaled more than $3 million.
A mill and overlay project in Labette County, along US-166 starting at the Montgomery/Labette county line heading east to the US-59 junction was approved for $4.2 million.
KDOT also gave approval for asphalt surfacing of 21 miles of US-59 in Allen County from the Neosho county line north to the Anderson County line.
Projects in Crawford and Cherokee Counties were also awarded.
