A single-vehicle car accident in Adair County, OK, claims the life of a young mother.

 

21-year-old Mariela Gonzalez was traveling on US-62 near Westville, OK, when she failed to negotiate a curve, striking a ditch and causing her Jeep Liberty to rollover.

 

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. A 10-month-old infant in the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

 

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
