The USD 447 Cherryvale-Thayer School Board had a lengthy discussion at last night's meeting regarding choosing an insurance provider for the district's buildings and property.

 

Superintendent Travis Githins says the Board had three options to choose from.

 

After much consideration the board decided to remain with their current provider E-M-C Insurance. Board members agreed it was the best financial option for the coverage the district requires.

 

In other business, Board members heard a first reading of Proposed policy updates from the Kansas Association of School Boards and also approved the re-establishment of a Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at Cherryvale Middle School.
