A juvenile is injured in a single-vehicle accident in Cowley County.

The accident occurred just after 8pm last night on US-77 about a mile north of the Kansas/Oklahoma state line, south of Ark City. A 2007 Buick Lucerne driven by 44-year-old Rhaman Morris of Ark City was traveling south on US-77 when his vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle then rolled twice as it entered the ditch and came to rest in a field.

Morris had no apparent injuries, but his passenger – a 16-year-old female – sustained serious injuries and was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment.
