The main road through Chetopa will close tomorrow night for the city's Christmas parade.

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, US-59 and US-166 will close from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night for the event sponsored by the Chetopa Chamber of Commerce. Traffic will be detoured using Cherry Street for the eastbound traffic and Mulberry Street for the westbound traffic. Police officers will be used to direct traffic. Parade organizers say this year's marshalls are Terry and Audrey Robison. After the parade, attendees can enjoy treats from Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Mae Lessley Community Building.
