The Parsons Police Department says a big thank you to the community.

 

This weekend’s Main Street Christmas Concert featuring the Duke Mason Band raised $4,000 to help support P-P-D’s Shop with a Cop Program. The department’s prior fundraising along with a $5,000 grant from Walmart means P-P-D has raised nearly $14,000 for the program.

 

The Shop with a Cop Program pairs police officers with local children in need to help them select Christmas gifts for their families that they might otherwise not be able to buy.  The program aims to foster positive relationships between police officers and the community, while also bringing joy to children who may not otherwise receive gifts during the holiday season.
