The Montgomery County Commission will meet today and the main topic of discussion will be the recent mistake on tax statements sent out by the county.

 

Commissioners will hear from Andy Taylor on the recent error on real estate tax statements sent out to county residents. Montgomery County issued a press release on Friday to apologize to taxpayers for the error. County Treasurer Nancy Clubine will also appear at today's meeting since her office was responsible for sending out the statement.

 

Also on today's agenda is Jared Daniels with the Caney Community Betterment Group.

 

The Montgomery County Commission meets at 9am in the Commission Room in the lower lever of the Judicial Center in Independence. The meeting is open to the public.
