Montgomery County issues an apology for sending out incorrect real estate tax statements.

 

A press release issued on Friday afternoon stated that the section in statements that were sent to residents titled YOUR MILL LEVIES was labeled with the wrong dates. The columns labeled 2024 and 2025 should actually be 2023 and 2024. The section to the right of that labeled YOUR TAXES has the same error.

 

The county says it understands that the error may have caused confusion but that the mistake does not affect the amount owed. It also does not mean people who have already payed submitted the wrong amount. The county is working to send out the correct information as soon as possible.
