A water line break prompts a boil water advisory for Elk City.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil water advisory foe Elk City in Montgomery County.
Customers of that water supply system should boil water for at least one full minute prior to consumption, dispose of ice cubes from trays and automatic ice makes, and disinfect dishes and food preparation surfaces.
The advisory took effect on December 5th and will remain in effect until it is rescinded by the KDHE.
