Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt fires the state Secretary of Energy and Environment after he testifies in a court hearing involving Tyson Foods.
Stitt relieved Ken McQueen of his duties yesterday, saying he was disappointed that McQueen appeared in a court hearing on Tuesday. The hearing was part of the Oklahoma v. Tyson Foods case regarding damages to Oklahoma from water pollution. The case has been in litigation since 2005. McQueen joined the case in November and follows Attorney General Gentner Drummond and former AG Drew Edmondson in the lawsuit against Tyson.
Stitt renamed Jeff Starling to replace McQueen. Starling most recently served as chief legal, administrative officer, and corporate secretary at Lagoon Water Midstream.
