The death of a Kansas sailor who died during a training exercise in April has now been ruled a homicide.
22-year-old Lyndon Cosgriff-Flax of Goddard died on April 28th when he fell overboard during a training exercise on the York River in Yorktown, Virginia. His death was originally ruled an accident, but the U.S. Navy says that determination has now been changed to negligent homicide. The Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Public Affairs Office says one of Cosgriff-Flax's fellow sailors has been charged in the case
The Navy says the sailor charged in the case will remain unnamed until formal charges have been referred.
