A Neosho Falls man was killed yesterday when his pickup truck rolled into the Ninnescah River.

73-year-old Edward Fitzpatrick was driving his 2007 Chevy Silverado northbound on US-81 just west of Belle Plaine around 2pm yesterday afternoon. His vehicle went left-of-center for an unknown reason before over-correcting and striking a barrier. The truck continued into the north ditch until it went over the Ninnescah River where it came to rest on its roof in the water.

Fitzpatrick was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita where he was pronounced deceased.
