Slowly but surely. That's what Caney city officials say the progress is in securing the water connection with the city of Coffeyville.

 Mayor Josh Elliott says the partnership with Midwest Engineering is going well, as the project moves past the environmental stage.

 In other business, the council was given an update on searches for a new city administrator and treasurer.

 The City of Caney accepts applications at City Hall, 100 West 4th Avenue, for any open positions.  Applicants may also email a cover letter and resume to the City Clerk at cityclerk@caney.kscoxmail.com.
