A Bartlesville man is being held in the Washington County Jail after allegedly starting two fires inside a home where he wasn't supposed to be.

 

Shane McCrory was booked into jail on fourth-degree arson charges. 

 

The Bartlesville Fire Department responded to smoke coming from a building on Friday morning. Upon arrival, they discovered McCrory, who is a former occupant of the home and had previously been removed from the premises McCory was found under the house and called out by officers. The City of Bartlesville has boarded up the house and says no one is allowed to live in it. 

 

A probable cause affidavit states McCrory claimed to have started the fires to stay warm.

 

 McCrory's bond was set at $25,000. His next court date is Friday.
