The City of Independence welcomes a new police officer to the force.

 

Police Chief Dustin Stafford introduces I-P-D's newest officer to the force at a recent Independence City Commission meeting.

 

Officer Clayton is a native of Wellington, KS, and has relocated to southeast Kansas in order to be closer to family. Stafford says Clayton brings a sense of duty to his new position.

 

Shortly after his introduction, Clayton was sworn in as the City's newest officer.
