Pittsburg Police Make Arrest in Thanksgiving Eve Homicide

Police in Pittsburg arrest a suspect in a fatal shooting that happened on Wednesday evening.

Authorities were called to the scene of the shooting the day before Thanksgiving where they found 29-year-old Fedor Lee Warren Lomax inside an apartment and suffering from a gunshot wound. Lomax was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries. An investigation revealed that the suspected shooter was 26-year-old Kevin Hukill, who had fled the scene.

Hukill was eventually located at another residence, hiding in the attic. After a brief stand off, Hukill eventually surrendered to police without incident. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a drug charge from Crawford County. Pittsburg Police added charges of 2nd-degree murder, felony interference with law enforcement, and felon in possession of a firearm.
