Law enforcement agencies across Kansas will be taking part in the “Thanksgiving Safe Arrival” traffic enforcement campaign through the end of the month.
The campaign will focus on occupant protection, which means everyone in your vehicle needs to be buckled up or the appropriate booster seat. Shawn Steward with Triple-A Kansas says, it's a good time to start buckling up.
Steward adds that Triple-A anticipates a near-record number of travelers on Kansas roads next week. The Kansas Highway Patrol reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and make sure everyone in the car wears a seat belt. K-H-P says that buckling up is your best defense in case of a crash.
