OK House Members Take Oath of Office

Ninety-nine members of the Oklahoma House of Representatives took their oaths of office Wednesday in the State House chamber.

The oath of office was administered by vice-chief justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court Dustin Rowe. Two members were unable to be sworn in yesterday. One of them took their oath on Monday, while the second will be sworn in at a later time to be determined.

The House will consist of 81 Republicans and 20 Democrats. Seventeen of those will be serving for the first term.

The full Oklahoma House will officially convene for an organizational day on January 7, and the First Session of the 60th Legislature reconvenes on February 3.
