The City of Sedan takes another step toward a major repaving project.

 

At this week's Sedan City Council meeting, Brian Boettcher with B-G Consultants was on hand to discuss preliminary planning for the project. Boettcher says the next step is the actual design process.

 

Sedan is set to receive $1.2 million in a City Connecting Link Improvement Program or C-CLIP grant. The federal and state-funded program provides funding to cities to improve the state highway system. City Clerk Raven Darnall says the city will have to pay the costs first before being reimbursed by the program.

 

The payment of just over $98,000 to B-G Consultants for the preliminary engineering fee was unanimously approved by the the council.
