The Rural Energy for America Program or REAP provides grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small business for installing renewable energy systems in their place of business.
The program can provide grants for up to 50% of the total cost of the project. The funds can be used for renewable energy types such as biodiesel and ethanol, wind, and solar. Daniel Zywietz of SEK Solar says the program is an excellent way for small businesses to save money.
Zywietz says there are some eligibility requirements for qualify for the program.
