Labette County prepares for the holiday season with Giving Tuesday.
Parsons Community Foundation Executive Director Becky Dantic spoke before the Altamont City Council at their latest meeting. Dantic says the focus of the community foundation is to promote local improvement through grants to charitable organizations.
Dantic says the money raised goes back in to the local community.
This year's Giving Tuesday is set for December 3 from 7am to 7pm at the Cardinal Event Center on the campus of Labette Community College.
