A 19-year-old Pawhuska man was killed in a car accident early last Wednesday morning on OK-99 about 3 miles north of Osage.

 

The accident happened around 4:30 when William Greene was involved in a single vehicle crash and was ejected from his vehicle. Soon after the initial accident, a Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by 43-year-old Travis Smith of Mannford struck both Greene and his vehicle. Greene was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith was treated for minor injuries and later released.

 

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
