The results of the 2024 General Election have been canvassed in Chautauqua County.
The commission met this week to review provisional ballots and write-in ballots from the November 5th election. County Clerk Niki Collier says there were multiple reasons for provisionals this election cycle.
Commissioners looked at the 25 total provisionals and after discussion, Commissioner Rodney Shaw made the motion to approve a select number of them.
There was a 59% voter turnout in the county, with more than 2,500 total registered voters and just over 1,500 ballots cast. Additional items of business included an update from the county Public Works Department.
