The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a woman in the city of Clearwater.
Clearwater Police were called to a residence in the city located about 15 miles southwest of Wichita yesterday morning. There they found the body of 45-year-old Melina Hinkle in her home. Also at the location, officers found an acquaintance of Hinkle, who had placed the 9-1-1 call. The Clearwater Police Department then requested that the investigation be taken over by The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division.
An autopsy had been scheduled for today in order to determine the cause and manner of death.
