Two people from Minnesota are killed in a Monday crash on the Kansas Turnpike near Derby.
The Kansas highway Patrol says 78-year-old Thomas Reller and 28-year-old Ocatvia Reller of Zumbrota, Minnesota, were killed in the early morning crash on I-35.
The accident happened when one of two semi trucks traveling together struck a deer and then struck the center median. The second semi pulled onto the shoulder where it was struck by the Rellers' Chevy SUV. The drivers of the two semi trucks, 45-year-old Tasheba Peavy and 47-year-old Shanna Coleman both from Houston, were hospitalized following the accident.
