Police in Wichita are investigating a shooting in the south central part of the city in which five people have been left dead.

 

 Officers responded to a call near the intersection of Southeast Boulevard and East Harry Street around 6pm Sunday night, November 10, 2024. When they arrived, they found a man inside a home, dead of an apparent gunshot wound. Further investigation revealed three more victims, also dead from gunshot wounds. A fifth victim was also eventually found in another nearby residence.

 

Police say they do not know when the shootings occurred, but they do believe all five victims knew each other and that four of the victims were killed by the same shooter. They believe that the shooter then took his own life.

 

W-P-D says there is no danger to the public and that they believe there are no other injuries.
