State of Missouri Files Lawsuit Alleging Election Interference

The State of Missouri files a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice alleging election interference.

The lawsuit was filed yesterday by Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft and the Missouri Attorney General's Office. The suit claims that current law specifically limits who may be in polling places and that actions taken by the DOJ are not allowed.

In a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, Ashcroft stated that the DOJ is breaking the law by attempting to send officials to Cole County, MO, to monitor compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

Ashcroft's Office stated that the DOJ attempted the same thing two years ago and was told at that time that their actions violated the law.
