Saturday will mark the 8th Annual Veterans Day of Honor in Independence.
Events will include a Veterans Appreciation Breakfast at VFW Post 11-86 from 7 to 10am, a patriotic rock hunt downtown, the avenue of Flags and Banners on Penn and Main streets downtown, and a Veterans' Day Parade at 2pm.
