The State of Kansas announces that tax receipts for October fall short of estimates.
The State released the latest numbers on Friday indicating that state tax collections for October totaled just over $668 million or 3.4% below estimates. Total tax collections were also down 2.5% from the same time period last year.
While individual income tax collections were up 4.3% from October 2023, corporate income taxes fell by 36.5% or nearly $22 million. Retail sales tax revenue was also down.
