More Rain, Severe Weather Possible Today

A flood watch continues through tonight for the entire four-state region, and today will also bring a chance of severe weather.

Another one to three inches of rain is possible today for southeast Kansas, and northeast Oklahoma could see up to four additional inches of rain.

Severe weather could move into the listening area between 1 and 3 p.m. and should be done by 6 p.m. Half-dollar to golf-ball-size hail, 70-80 mph winds and an elevated chance of a tornado is possible, mainly for northeast Oklahoma, northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri. A few strong storms are also possible over southeast Kansas. KGGF will provide severe weather coverage this afternoon if needed.
